Vancouver, BC, January 12, 2023Covalent, a Web3 data provider trusted by a community of 40,000+ developers and powering data for 5,000+ applications, is launching an awareness effort to celebrate the thousands of Web3 projects providing cutting-edge technologies making the world safer, more secure, and better connected. The Bear Market Builders movement goes beyond Covalent’s developer ecosystem and emphasizes that a bearish economic market is a prime opportunity for all developers to build, similar to Covalent’s experience during its launch five years ago.

“Despite a forecast of fierce economic headwinds, builders and developers across the globe are facing up to the seemingly impossible task of building their dreams. As long-term builders who survived a bear market, we want to highlight the amazing future these pioneers are building for us and the world.” said Covalent CEO Ganesh Swami. “Nothing worthwhile has ever been easy. The brightest diamonds are forged under the most intense pressure. Now is the time to build. Those who were able to build through the pressure, will shine.”

Covalent was conceived at a hackathon in 2017 and proceeded to build itself up from an idea to a global firm during bear market conditions. The protocol remained dedicated to building tools that would bring value to its customers and the greater developer community, and help drive the accessibility of blockchain-based technology into the future. The campaign will feature new projects daily from across the blockchain community as Covalent connects like-minded thinkers while bringing attention to those who deserve it.

Swami added, “I want to remind everyone of a famous Steve Jobs quote: ‘Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.’” The quote was used in the iconic “Think Different” Commercial in 1997 by then-struggling Apple Inc.
